Hahahah coming from the Carpathian mountains it's really heartwarming and funny (in a positive way) how you complain about hiking in the summer heat, Björn! 😂 It's incredible how the environment we grow in shapes our bodies. I myself can't cope with the maritime climate in west-north Europe. It irritates my body and my biological rhythm. No place feels like home that shaped us.

This heat is quite unusual for Europe, when i was younger i rarely had to deal with this level of heat.

Either very courageous or simply not knowing the bear population density in Romania. It's quite risky nowadays, because the government simply does not allow people to hunt them or even neutralize them in self-defence.

Wear womens long underwear, watchamacallit, the once that don't survive 30 min at a party, as baselayer.. heard someone had great success with it.. If you want to take it further, I'm guessing some kind of foamish double sided tape as a "belt" could stop them from crawling further up? And my eastern european neighbour just told me they've been using lavender for ages.. from planting it in the garden to oils on your skin to drinking it as tea.. Me? I just take a shower.. only one tick so far, and haven't seen any crawling on my pants as I often do either.. seems there's less of everything in Norway this year.. haven't even seen a single adder as of july 6th 🤷‍♂️

A hammock is your best friend. Although, you should strap a rubber boot on each end to fend off the little bastards... also can't do any harm, an extra boot hanging from your neck, as a talisman.

be careful with sun exposure. it can be very intense in the mountains, especially if you are not used to it.

I've been living in the woods for 5 months under an open tarp, obviously sleeping on the floor and wearing well they're just like work boots lol I may be infested or infected how ever you say but I feel fine at the moment, but even if do get sick where do I go? the NHS in the UK is a parasitic organisation full of employees who's main point of focus is what's easier for them, rather than their responsibility or duty of care leading to negligence or a bunch of sadists, I mean how can you even be a sadist and a health care practitioner, the 2 should contradict each other but yet it exists, I know the forest can be dangerous but I don't honestly feel society is any less, its more dangerous and less comfortable

I read these: Burning old dry grass prohibition increased tick population, more deers/sheep etc they hang onto spread them, human/animals lowered immunity (for many reasons) helps them.. But apparently eating pungent herbs - garlic, sage etc and avoiding sugar, puts them off... So they wait for someone/Thing sweeter 😀 (I'm poisonous so safe)
